Elka Park, Town Of Hunter, NY

Private community south of Tannersville, at the foot of the Devil's Path range. Founded in the late 1880's by the German American Liederkranz Club of New York City. Today, the name Elka Park is used for both the private community and the hamlet around it, which was formerly called Platte Clove.
