This Michigan Central train was caught in a Blizzard while en route to Chicago. It was unable to push through the ten-foot drifts of snow. The passengers huddled up about the stoves, piling up so much wood that the cars caught fire. When help came twenty-four hours later there was only one car left and the supply of wood was almost exhausted.
