Choice Bits Of Scenery In The Catskills

Although this booklet of photographs, published around 1900, has no text, beyond labels for the photographs, it does have a logical progression. The photographs form a tour, from arriving by steamer at the docks in Catskill, travelling through the streets of Catskill, up the Otis Railway to the Mountain House, along South Lake to the Laurel House and Kaaterskill Falls, out to Elka and Onteora Parks, back through Haines Falls to Twilight Park, and down Kaaterskill Clove to Palenville. The last photo shows the train leaving Palenville, heading back to the docks at Catskill. Some of the pictures appear slightly out of order, but I have left them as they appear in my copy of the book.
